Launched in 1996, Cellplus, a fully owned subsidiary of Mauritius Telecom, is the market leader in Mauritius and in Rodrigues. Cellplus offers a range of voice, data and multimedia services for both the mass market and business segments.

The recent innovations of Cellplus include Blackberry® solutions which Cellplus was the first to introduce in Mauritius and the Business Everywhere solution. This solution enables the business customer to connect from his laptop to the internet and his enterprise VPN (Virtual Private Network) from anywhere by means of the best available network, whether fixed (ADSL and/or My.T) or mobile (GPRS, EDGE, 3G) or private WIFI.

Customers also enjoy high network quality and good indoor and outdoor coverage. Cellplus offers have been rebranded Orange as from April 2008.

Cellplus, which provides data roaming in addition to voice roaming facilities, has roaming agreements with more than 260 operators in 126 countries. In 2007, Cellplus launched the first 3G roaming service with Orange France.
